Westcliff Baptist Church
Here at Westcliff Baptist Church we currently have two football teams - WBCFC Youth Team & WBCFC (Senior Team)
Aim: To enjoy the fresh air and friendship and the abilities God has given us through the game of football, played in a fair and right but competitive manner.
WBCFC Youth Team:
Manager: Jess Davey.
Our U16 won the league in the first two seasons of the ‘Football League of Churches’ and while we have not challenged for the title recently, the boys enjoy their involvement in the league.
The team play in the football league of churches in the Under 16’s section. For more information on the league, click on the link www.floc.org.uk
WBCFC: Manager: Russell King
Assistant Manager: Gareth Roberts-Smith
Club Captain: Ian Noakes
The senior team have been around for many years in one form or another. The team have played many ‘friendly’ matches vs other local (and some not so local) teams. Since 2000 the team have entered into the National Christian Football Festival with relative success, winning the tournament in 2000 & 2004 and numerous appearances in the final. This season 2008/09 has seen the development of a small local church league including a cup tournament, into which WBCFC have entered a team.
